Political Article
https://www.usnews.com/news/politics/articles/2017-03-26/trumps-border-wall-proposal-faces-many-obstacles
The article I read about was President Trump's wall proposal. This article goes into the different problems that President Trump has delt with during this process. The major problem that President Trump has been faced with is the money. He initially proclaimed that Mexico would pay for the wall but they refused so Trump went to Congress. Congress hasn't approved the price tag yet but it should be about twelve billion dollars. There are also legal and geographic challenges into this decision.
I agree with the big picture of this wall which is to keep people coming to America illegally. I think President Trump conceived a good idea of this wall. With the wall more Americans should be able to get jobs. I am fine if someone from another country is trying to come to America but they have to do it the right way instead of doing it illegally.

Learning Reflection
What I have learned as a reader throughout the year is that I understand how to annotate and understand the meaning more of the book. I have learned to identify reader's tools and annotate a poem correctly. I also use these tools and techniques to make me a better writer.
I feel that I learn the best when I write all the information down and the words that the teacher says than just the things the teacher says to write down. I will use this information to help me prepare for test and quizzes. These techniques and tools should allow me to do better at annotating, writing, reading and taking tests during this final quarter.

March Madness was kicked off on last Thursday. This is one of my favorite sporting events of the year. I love to fill out a bracket and bet against my friends and family. I filled out a bracket with my family and a few of my friends. We didn't be on any thing but really just bragging rights.
This year I choose Duke to win it all over North Carolina. Right now I am doing ok in the standings in the two of my brackets and have a chance to win. I plan to watch all the games and have fun with this throughout the remaining of the tournament.

Free Post 3/6
My free topic this week is about Mardi Gras week. My Mardi Gras week was pretty boring. It started out rough because I procrastinated during the school week and had to four blogs on Friday night. After Friday night I just took the rest of my break to do whatever I wanted. I went out to eat a couple of times throughout the break and went and saw the boys basketball playoff games on Monday and Thursday. Yesterday I went and saw the movie Logan which was a very good movie in my opinion. These were the only times I really got outside of the house over the break. I basically just watched TV and played the Playstation. Now I wish this break was longer because now I will have to get up early and go to school for about five more weeks until my next break, Easter.
Analyzation of Song
Love by Mos Def
http://www.songlyrics.com/mos-def/love-lyrics/
"Love" by Mos Def includes two poetic techniques. The two techniques that the song uses are assonance and anaphora. Def uses assonance throughout the song and makes the song have more emphasis and meaning. When Def uses anaphora in the song, it captures of what the song is truly about.
Def uses assonance to keep the song moving and give each line emphasis of why it's in the story.
"Is this the pain of too much tenderness
"Is this the pain of too much tenderness
To make me nod my head in reverence?
Should I visit this place in remembrance?
Or build landmarks here as evidence?"
In this example, Def uses a superb word choice which helps emphasize the meaning and the fluency in this line.
This word choice is used three times throughout the song being included in the beginning, middle, and end.
"I start to think, and then I sink
Into the paper, like I was ink
When I'm writing, I'm trapped in between the lines
I escape, when I finish the rhyme"
In this example from the song, Def repeats this specific wordage to start the song off. When I read the lyrics, this phrase sets up the rest of the song and also how Def became an artist.
